|Recommended: NoPoor Communication and Unclean Room at Move-In — I had spoken several weeks prior to moving in with a University Edge representative, and she had assured me that it would be possible to move in over the weekend prior to the Monday my lease started. I neglected to get written confirmation, so that is my fault. On the Saturday I was flying in, my flight was cancelled, so I attempted to contact the office during regular business hours, which was posted as 8-2 on the website for Saturday. I emailed and texted and even reached out via WhatsApp just to check in with UE, and I still have not received any response four days after the fact . I also tried calling the office 8 times that day, and no one picked up the phone. Additionally, when I moved into my room, it was clear to me that maintenance and cleaning staff had not checked my room the check list for maintenance and cleaning was left blank on my door . Many of the previous tenant's things were left behind in my room, including their dirty bedding on the bed, bathroom items, and other random things. Additionally, markings from where tape had been peeled from the walls were not painted over about 10 on the wall between the door and the closet , and the carpet is dirty. I hope I am not charged for this when I leave.
|Recommended: YesLiving Room need to be cleaned — Everything is good but the living room. It is so messy and dirty and I don't know why no one clean it. But the facilities are pretty good and I enjoy the swimming pool. I just hope the office could clean the living room when the previous residents moved out.

|Recommended: NoRough move-in day — I am rating no just because of how things were handled on my move-in day. My apartment was filthy upon my entering and had clearly not been cleaned since the last tenants had moved out. When I approached the front desk, the staff ensured that someone would be in to clean ASAP. This was fulfilled and 2 women came to clean and were very pleasant. What I would like to see done is some compensation for the state of the apartment upon my arrival. My roommates and I had traveled far and were ready to get things moved in as our families and movers did not have all day to wait around. Having to wait for the apartment to be cleaned and the overall fact that it had not been checked by University Edge Staff prior to my move-in after I was already required to pay the August rent without seeing the state of the apartment is unacceptable. I would like to be financially compensated in some way.

|Recommended: NoYou are better off living in the projects. This place is ass, staff is shady, and it is not university edge because there is crackheads that live here. At least three overdoses this past year and held at gun point on property.
response from property -I'm sorry you have had a negative experience! I do not believe I have ever had the pleasure speaking with you but would love the opportunity to communicate more! Redstone Residential does require everyone who resides here to pass a credit and criminal background check. It is, unfortunate, that crime does not have an address and incidents can arise anywhere in South Bend. I speak with Managers weekly from sites next to campus, and sadly they experience crime related activities on occasion, also. Again, please reach out directly to the office so I can attempt to address such concerns you have experienced.

|Recommended: YesFantastic and Responsive Staff — The staff at University Edge has been very accommodating, responsive, and helpful with anything I have come across. Having great communication with the staff has greatly helped my experience.
